Ronald J. Kobertz

Ronald J. Kobertz age 82 of Canonsburg passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 26, 2023, in West Penn Hospital Pittsburgh. He was born March 18, 1941, in Canonsburg, a son of the late Stanley Kobertz and Mary Burchik Kobertz Macik. Ron attended Canonsburg Schools and started working at Valley Brooke Country Club as a grounds keeper when he was sixteen years old, being employed there until his retirement. It was the only job he ever had. He lived his entire life in Canonsburg, and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening, especially tending to the fishpond in his yard. He loved all animals. On October 12, 1968, in St Patrick Church he married Margaret “Peggy” Carter who survives after fifty-four years of marriage. Also left behind to cherish his memory is his brother Richard (Millie) Kobertz of Canonsburg, his sister-in-law and caregiver Shirley Carter of Canonsburg and was beloved by several nieces and nephews. Deceased, in addition to his parents is his brother Larry Kobertz.

Private services and interment in Oak Spring Cemetery have been entrusted into the care of SALANDRA FUNERAL and CREMATION SERVICES, INC. Joseph P.
