Becky, Missy, Scotty and Kathy, condolences on the loss of your mom. I enjoyed seeing her when I had lunch with my mom at Strabane Trails and saw her last (and got a big hug) when I stopped by her table to let her and table mates know about my mom's condition following surgery in late April. I always loved digging into your mom's homemade Chex mix at Christmas. Her death marks the end of an era on Belmont Avenue! Best to all, Lenley.

Becky, Scott, Kathy, Missy and Families,
We are keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers. It is not an easy thing losing your Mom. Keep her memory alive and talk to her every day. We pray that God gives you the strength to get through this difficult time and also for peace and comfort.
She and my dear Mom were friends from day one having been born in houses next door to each other and remained friends throughout their entire lives. I have lots of wonderful memories myself of your Mom and the times I spent with her, especially when Mom would visit from Texas.
I am in Colorado Springs, CO now with my son (who was the culprit in placing the black balloons on her porch on her 40th birthday with me, requested by my Mom. He was late for school that day & when he said he was putting balloons on someone's porch she did not believe him! ) & his family. I am SO sorry I will not be able to attend your Mom's funeral, but please accept our deepest sympathies.

Mrs. Emery was my 5th grade teacher 45 years ago. One of the best I ever had. I have shared the story among friends and family as to how she got me to pay more attention, which ultimately took me from a B and C student to and A student. I did get the chance many years later to thank her. She will be missed. My condolences to the family.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of, Mrs. Emery. I have a special place in my heart for teachers. They were instrumental in raising my children to becoming responsible and law-abiding citizens. With all of, her accomplishments, she was an amazing woman! I won't pretend to know what you're going through, but what has helped me deal with the loss of those I love is turning to the Scriptures, something that has been a real source of comfort. One Scripture that gives me hope is John 11:25, which says, " Jesus said to her: “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." I hope that this verse will also comfort you and, I hope you and your family can get through this difficult time. Please accept my condolences for the loss of your beloved mother, grandma and friend. So very sad to hear of the passing of Peggy Emery. She and her husband Tom were very kind friends from the Friendly Squares square dancing club of McMurray. Many memories of all of us dancing, going to dinner, and just socializing. Comfort and blessings to the family.
