Harold E. “Bimbo” Hanna, Jr., 70 of Washington passed away on Sunday, October 8, 2017 in St. Clair Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born on May 17, 1947 in Canonsburg to Harold E. Hanna, Sr., and Emma J. Marinelli Hanna who preceded him in death.
He was a veteran who proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of St. Hilary Catholic Church in Washington.
Mr. Hanna was an Office/Sales Manager for Route 18 Homes and Falconi Enterprises.
He was a member of the VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg, the American Legion Post 902 in Houston as well as a member and officer of the Italian American Heritage and Cultural Society. His family brought him great joy and he loved spoiling his grandchildren.
He is survived by his two sons Joseph E. Hanna (Beth) of Imperial, and Jeffrey L. Hanna (Michele Betarie) of Canonsburg, a sister Charlotte Laverty (William) of Lewisburg and five grandchildren Kalynn, Rachel, Austin and Samantha Hanna and Lindsay Betarie.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother Gary Lee Hanna.
Friends are welcome from 6~8 P.M on Wednesday, October 11, 2017 and 2~4 PM and 6~8 PM on Thursday, October 12, 2017 in Salandra Funeral and Cremation Service, Inc., Joseph P. Salandra, owner/supervisor, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg 724-745-8120 where services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, October 13, 2017. Interment will follow in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville at 12:30 p.m. Full Military Rites will be accorded by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191 and the United States Navy.
